My present turned into a past
I held the burning rose at the back of his house
I got his radio on, I spy him like a gone gal
He talked about the bride, I talked about the love
I drove pass all of our favorite city
I heard the organ starts playing
The aisle of you and her, such a rosy stream
I lose it again I guess
The one I thought would be the last
My love, the greatest wave of the sea took u away
Mourning with the siren of her dreams
I got to see her such a pretty damn face again
In the same spot I wish it was mine
I felt the thorns of the rose
Against the wisdom of my presence
I have to let you go
I have to let you put the ring on another’s finger
That’s not mine
I have to let go
And feel this cold and the song I wrote
The one that I can’t sing to you
With the piano on and the ballad sung
And the bloody champagne I swallowed one more time
I got to let you go
I did my best to hold on to
I got to let you go
My misaligned Venus’s rhyme
