Bardcore Music You Should Listen to While Reading Fantasy Novel

There are songs in a bardcore version I always keep listening to every time I read a fantasy novel. You will be curious and surprised at the same time on how music can make you lose in imagination endlessly.

Blinding Lights by The Weeknd

When I first heard this version of Blinding Light, I think of the love triangle among King Arthur, Guinevere, and Lancelot, or maybe the knight in a white horse who helped the damsel in distress. Additionally, the song’s melody captured the feeling of the readers when the battle between the characters happened in each chapter very well.

Somebody That I Used to Know by Gotye

I wanna dress up in the medieval dress the moment I heard Somebody that I used to Know in this version. I really love the melody with the combination of lute and flute that makes me got the sense of dancing near the bank that is full of moonlight that allows me to see the moon’s reflection along with myself through the water surface.

Creep by Radiohead

Creep in the original version makes me fell madly in love, and this version increases my feeling to be hundredfold. This makes me think of the love at first sight between the characters in a crowded place or even forbidden love.

Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Green Day

Boulevard of Broken Dreams makes me think of the time when people gather together for an event or some battles in the medieval setting.

Summertime Sadness by Lana Del Rey

If you had ever felt sorrow from the loss of the characters or some plot that you feel it’s so tragic while reading the chapter that makes your tear streaming down your face, I would highly recommend this for you.

Jolene by Dolly Parton

This fits perfectly in the love triangle among the characters, for the lyrics or the melody enhance the readers themselves. You can also feel it in the forbidden love when the characters have eye contact with each other in the crowded place.

The Final Countdown by Europe

I would like to give a compliment to this man. He is so talented. To produce the song into the bardcore version that has a nice impact on the people who love the medieval period to read the fantasy novel is such an excellent work of art. This is so beautiful. When I listen, I could imagine the jousting between the knights in the shiny armor.

Bad Romance by Lady Gaga

I got the sense of the warmth of the sunlight, and I could feel the wind against my skin while listening. Additionally, I also think of the romantic plot between the characters, so I believe that this song will enhance the way you’re reading.

Willow by Taylor Swift

When the music video for Willow was released, I thought it will be fit very well in the bardcore version, and yes!! finally, there’s a bardcore version of Willow by Taylor Swift that came out. I can list this song as one of the songs to listen to when there’s a dance scene or some events that people gather together that happen in the story.

I made a playlist for these songs. Check it out here:
