Dale Street in Half Asleep – Napatsorn Treesap

Watching you daily and you don’t even get a glimpse of notice
Well, I guess we had driven to the doom
You used to park in the Dale Street
Where your friends in half used to spend time here daily
I have to ask we’ll do it again
Aren’t we?
And we both agree to breathe in what’s gone

Spending the night in the car chasing daydreams
Leaving the guilty at the bar you are in love with
Dancing in the dark where we used to speed sin
Touching your face in the mask, getting a glimpse of the old me
Laying at the back of your car, steering wheel of our fate
Head north to the door where we summoned the scariest scene
Red light of the dawn at the end of the dog days
Turn on my saddest songs, been missing them a bit
Racing our mad sin to the south of our love

You think I can abandon the Memory Lane
Where we’re both dancing under the lamp at dawn?
My mama loves what we had even if it’s gone
Dale Street heads me back to your door
I have to ask we’ll do it again
Aren’t we?
And we both agree to breathe in what’s gone

Spending the night in the car chasing daydreams
Leaving the guilty at the bar you are in love with
Dancing in the dark where we used to speed sin
Touching your face in the mask, getting a glimpse of the old me
Laying at the back of your car, steering wheel of our fate
Head north to the door where we summoned the scariest scene
Red light of the dawn at the end of the dog days
Turn on my saddest songs, been missing them a bit
Racing our mad sin to the south of our love

Toss me back, forget the blind spot of the fate
150 without hitting a brake, speeding along my highway
You know I love it, much better than all of your mates
Drive me insane, forget all the traffic when we’re laughing
But you seem to look in the rearview watching what they reacted
Reverse us again to the circle of that maze
And we both agree to breathe out what’s gone

Spending the night in the car chasing daydreams
Leaving the guilty at the bar you are in love with
Dancing in the dark where we used to speed sin
Touching your face in the mask, getting a glimpse of the old me
Laying at the back of your car, steering wheel of our fate
Head north to the door where we summoned the scariest scene
Red light of the dawn at the end of the dog days
Turn on my saddest songs, been missing them a bit
Racing our mad sin to the south of our love

Beautiful piece! It scratched the itch in my heart I hadn’t realized existed until I read this poem.
